I'm Dasha, a Melbourne-based photographer with a passion for creating images that feel genuine, considered and engaging.
For me, photography has always been about more than taking photographs. It's about understanding people, spaces and the story behind them, then capturing images that not only show how a place looks, but more importantly, how it feels to be there in that moment.
Over the years, my work has taken me across a wide range of projects, from hospitality venues and private events to commercial spaces and artwork commissions for boutique hotels. Some projects have taken me interstate, creating bespoke imagery and artworks inspired by each property's design, location and character. I love the variety every project brings and the trust clients place in me to balance creative freedom with their brief.
I enjoy telling a story by noticing the details within a space or capturing the moments that are easily missed while everyone else is simply enjoying themselves. My style is minimal, crisp and geometric, while always adapting to the needs of each project.
When I'm not behind the camera, you'll usually find me exploring Melbourne's food and wine scene, wandering through galleries, practising yoga or escaping into nature for a bit of perspective. I believe those moments of slowing down and observing the world around me continue to shape the way I see, create and connect with people.
